BUNDORAN, Our home base in County Donegal. First mentioned officially in 1653, Bundoran has since the late-eighteenth century functioned primarily as a seaside resort. Bundoran today is a world-renowned surfing community, and was in 2012 named by National Geographic as one of the World’s Top Twenty Surf Towns.

COUNTY DONEGAL, in far northwest Ireland, is the Republic’s most remote county, sharing most of its land border with Northern Ireland. Today, it is an increasingly popular destination–the beating heart of Ireland’s “Wild Atlantic Way“–and was in 2016 designated by National Geographic Traveler as the “coolest place on the planet.”
